Meeting: Thursday, April 13, 2006 / Northwestern High School / Dr. Ward

1. Visit Dr. Ward and discuss objectives for spring, summer, fall program development

2. Review of AIM Summer Camp 2006 Program

3. Introduction of Karl Klimek of the Convergence Foundation and review of their Fall program at Cobo Hall

4. Discussion of possible office space allocation at Northwestern

1. Laser-like (clarity) focus on goals and objectives for Summer / Fall 2006 (Time-line development)

Other: (Brief Summary of Discussions 4-26-2006)

1. Misssion Statement: "To install, develop and train teachers and students to utiilize current and emerging digital technologies in the development of the enabled curriculum of DPS. The vehicle used to catapult students to higher levels of acheivment is the AIM (Achievement In Motion) program. This program will have 2 stages in it's development (Academic Stage 1 and Summer Stage 2)."


2. Initial creation of AIM Executive Committee and subsequent sub-committees.

3. Meeting: Thursday, April 27, 2006 / Kamaal Amen Ra to ascertain asset identification, needs analysis, etc. for the Digital Broadcast Arts and Digital Communications elements (Kamaal will update the blog-site on intelligence gathered).

4. Glossary of Terms:


"Digication" The education of "students" using the digital tools of the 21st Century." (Contibuted by Walt Rush)
"Constellation" (connotation: a larger system comprised of smaller elements)
"Scholarship" (connotation: replacement fot higher-ordered "geekdom")
