Fisher/Unitech to show off three-dimensional 'printers': Troy-based Fisher/Unitech, an engineering technologies firm serving the Midwest, Wednesday announced a series of eight open houses next month that will showcase the new Dimension 1200 three-dimensional printers. The new printers give designers more flexibility and the ability to build larger objects, along with faster 3-D "printing" and affordable prices. The machines are used in a variety of industries to build three-dimensional models of parts. The events will be held May 10 in Milwaukee, May 16 in Schaumburg, Ill, May 19 in St. Peters, Mo., Riverside, Mo., Grand Rapids and Troy; May 24 in Brecksville, Ohio, and May 30 in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
